Eurofins Environment Testing Australia New Zealand is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 200 our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Auckland and Christchurch, with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. Job Description Afternoon shift position, Monday - Friday Located in Girraween, NSW The Laboratory Technician (Semi-Volatiles) is responsible for assisting the laboratory function by ensuring all samples are appropriately received, logged, prepared and analysed in a timely manner while assisting with various other laboratory duties, to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements.
Reporting to the Supervisor, the role will focus on: Receivingand logging in samples accurately. Preparingsamples for analysis by mixing, blending and weighing, in accordance with sample/analysis requirements and preparation methods. Performing routine analysis, validations and project work in an efficient and effective manner. Ensuringexternal and internal clients' requirements are met / exceeded. Ensuringefficient utilisation of laboratory materials. Operating, calibratingand maintaining equipment/instruments as required. Performing quality control tests. Qualifications Certificate / Diploma in Laboratory Techniques; or equivalent qualification; or significant laboratory experience.
About You To be successful for this position, you will demonstrate the following experience and characteristics:
Experience in a commercial laboratory will be an advantage. Experience working in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel. Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task. On the job training will be provided, along with the use of our systems and programs. Previous exposure to a warehouse or laboratoryenvironment would hold you in good stead, however our successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
