This includes preparing, developing, designing, and constructing experiments.
Whether it's for teaching, research, or external engagement activities, the team expertly manages all technical requirements to support the University's diverse needs.The RoleJoin our Environmental, Conservation and Agricultural Sciences (ECA) team!
This role involves providing comprehensive technical support for environmental laboratory sessions and various school-related activities.
You will contribute to creating an engaging student experience, with a strong focus on research excellence and high -quality education, all in line with the goals of our College/Office and University.Your key duties will include:Carry out the organisation and setup of all relevant materials, specimens, reagents and equipment for nominated laboratory sessions.Perform or carry out the logistics and technical servicing of undergraduate field trips for nominated units.Follow detailed accurate records for each laboratory session and undergraduate field trip/s assigned and assist in maintaining and developing such records.
What you'll bring to this roleDegree in Environmental Sciences or Certificate IV in Lab Practices plus relevant experience.Ability to work within the laboratory environment, handling chemicals, preparing solutions, use and maintenance of standard instrumentation.High level of computer literacy to produce high-level work using software such as Microsoft Office applications and specified University software programs, with the capability and willingness to learn new packages.Time management, planning and organisational skills.Current Australian driver's licence.Applicants should refer to the Position Description for further details on the work requirements, duties, skills and experience required for this role.
