Laboratory Support Assistant (Microbiology) Proudly Australian owned and operated, Symbio Laboratories is a market leader in rapid turnaround, high quality analytical testing for the food, agricultural, environmental and pharmaceutical industries. We have laboratories nationwide, from major cities such as Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, to regional areas such as Wagga Wagga.
THE ROLE As a Laboratory Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our laboratory operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting laboratory staff, maintaining equipment, preparing and testing samples, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Multiple Positions Available! Key Responsibilities may include:
Assist laboratory staff with daily tasks and operations Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies Conduct basic lab procedures and assist with experiments Ensure a clean and organized workspace Adhere to safety protocols and regulations Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and public holidays ABOUT YOU: Diploma or certificate in a related field preferred, but not essential Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks People enjoy working at Symbio Laboratories because of our strong teamwork and flexible working conditions.
