About the Opportunity The Laboratory Operations Manager is responsible for managingcomplex and critical agency-wide projects and services ininformation technology, procurement, accommodation, security,laboratory supplies, facilities and specialist scientificinstrumentation to meet the strategic, operational and businessneeds of Forensic Science SA (FSSA).
About the Business Forensic Science SA (FSSA) provides a comprehensive, coordinatedrange of services to agencies associated with the justice systemincluding the State Coroner, South Australia Police (SAPOL), theOffice of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and defenceand civil litigants.
We are part of the Attorney General's Department and theDirector, FSSA reports to the Executive Director, Finance, People& Performance.
Within FSSA there are four scientific/medico-legal operationalareas: Pathology, Chemistry, Biology and Toxicology, each analysingmaterials using a diverse range of scientific equipment andprocesses.
The operational areas are supported by Administration,Information Technology and Projects, Science Support and Quality,who each provide underpinning services in support of theoperational areas.

Special Conditions for Employment Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificateclearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.
