The opportunityWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Operations Assistant (Goods Receiving) to join our Sydney team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receiving, handling, and distribution of goods and materials in our laboratory. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our research and production facilities, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards. This role is 80% dealing with stock and 20% administrative.
How you'll spend your dayReceive, inspect, and verify incoming goods, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.Record and maintain accurate documentation of goods received, including updating inventory systems and logs.Provide support to the local procurement manager, including establishing new vendors and pricing agreements.Work with global support functions to maintain integrity of purchase-to-pay system.Safely store and organize materials according to laboratory protocols and safety guidelines.Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and laboratory teams to ensure timely and efficient receipt of goods.Monitor inventory levels and assist with reordering supplies to avoid shortages.Assist with packing and dispatching outgoing goods and materials as required.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.Support general laboratory operations and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.Your experience and qualificationsPrevious experience in inventory management, or a similar role, preferably within a laboratory or pharmaceutical environment.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.Experience with SAP, Ariba and Microsoft access desirable.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to lift and move packages and materials as needed (manual handling training is a plus).Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a laboratory or production setting.Enjoy a more rewarding choiceWork with a motivated team of scientists in state-of-the-art laboratories.Generous leave, health, and wellbeing benefits.Commitment to ongoing personal & professional growth via a blend of learning opportunities.Parking available at our Macquarie Park site.Opportunity to join a leading global organisation with a network of 37,000 employees operating in 60 markets, with 25 R&D sites.Make a difference with Teva PharmaceuticalsPlease submit your CV and a cover letter responding to the selection criteria outlining relative keys skills and experience in relation to this role.
