Job Description Based in Kalgoorlie - WA Roster 8 days on/4 days off (12hrs shift day and night) Permanent Full-time Role SGS Australia is looking for an experience Lab Assistant with Chemist background to perform weighing of samples, digestions and volumetric preparation of geochemical samples, and ICP instrumentation. Other simple laboratory functions performed as required.
Carry out housekeeping of the laboratory.
Responsibilities are, but not limited to: Perform wet chemistry analysis of geochemical samples.
Ensure quality and quantities of samples are produced.
Maintain daily production targets.
All functions to be performed in correct numerical order and following established procedures.
Follows set QC requirements and avoids contamination.
Must use appropriate personal protective equipment in the correct manner.
Reporting of abnormalities to the Supervisor, e.g.
QC Standards.
At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
Qualifications Certificate III in Laboratory Skills (minimum) Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to complete work in numerical order.
