About the role  We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysers Pre and post analytical specimen handlingIdentification and prioritisation of urgent specimens Filing and storage of specimens and data entryAssisting Scientists in the Labas requiredContinuous learning of processing requirements of different types of samples for different tests Staying up to date with processing updates Respond to result, sample requirements and general queries Identifying and resolving problems on at the pre-analytic stage About you  To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
Specimen processing and data entry experienceExcellent customer service and communication skillsThe ability to cope and thrive in a busy environmentAbility to work with minimal supervision and work as a team Understanding the importance of following procedures accuratelyA willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and proceduresPrevious laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology would be desirable, but not essential Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Pathology Collection is desirable.
