We are currently looking for an IVF Laboratory Manager to oversee the day-to-day functioning of our laboratory in Greensborough, Victoria.
The Role Reporting into the State Business Manager (in terms of operations) and the Scientific Director (in relation to scientific governance), this role is responsible for managing the scientific staff and coordination of lab resources and for ensuring a high level of operational and scientific compliance.

Applicants in patient contact roles will be required to provide evidence of immunity against specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage lab team members, including in terms of performance, training and developmentMaximise and drive continuous improvement in scientific outcomes for patientsEnsure compliance with RTAC Code of Practice and relevant state legislation, including participation in RTAC and relevant auditsEnsure compliance with Adora's scientific SOP's, quality management policies and relevant standards and guidelinesEnsure safe working practices and compliance with WHS policies and proceduresReport, action and monitor monthly and quarterly scientific KPI'sPerform and review internal audits as per the audit scheduleSchedule team members to meet planned volume and productivity levels, and aligned with resource budget targetsEncourage and support employee engagement and collaborationPromote a culture of excellence, integrity, continuous improvement and risk management in the labThis is a challenging yet rewarding role for a skilled embryologist with the ability to lead and support others to achieve organisational objectives.

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following: Sound knowledge and understanding of RTAC Code of Practice, NHMRC Ethical Guidelines on ART and local state legislation pertaining to ART treatmentMinimum five years' clinical human embryology experienceAbility to perform a range of laboratory processes as per SOP and best practice and lead, manage and supervise other staff to perform the sameDemonstrate and maintain excellent customer service skills, strong positive and collaborative leadership and teamworkDemonstrated ability to train and mentor trainee embryologistsExperience working within a Quality Management system and understanding of internal auditingSound embryology and andrology theoretical knowledgeStrong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsQualifications Master's degree or Postgraduate diploma from an accredited institution demonstrating a broadly-based scientific experience in reproductive biology, with expertise and/or specialised training in the physiology of reproduction, cell biology and biochemistryJoin a safe & inclusive workplace that emphasises its employee's wellbeing and development.
