Ks1 Teaching Assistant Long Term Contract. Job In Derby Education & Training Jobs

Are you a qualified teaching assistant? Do you have experience in working in primary schools?
Empowering Learning are delighted to be working with a school in the DE3 area. The school are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work within their KS1 team. The role will be full time and based on a fixed term contract until July 2025. This role could become permanent for the right person.
The successful applicant will have:
Previous experience of working within KS1.An understanding of phonics and how it's delivered in primary schools.An approachable personality to both staff and pupils.A passion for all things education.A high work ethic with a passion for helping children to succeed.Past experience of delivering intervention sessions.The ability to support pupils with SEN.The main duties within the role will be:
Delivering academic interventions to pupils working below age expected levels.Delivering phonics sessions using ReadWriteInc every day.Supporting the teaching and learning within the classroom.Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who present with additional needs.Liaising with the class teacher around the progress of the pupils.Running guided reading sessions two times per week.To apply for the role, please send across your CV via the application page.
