About Kimberley Renal Services Kimberley Renal Services (KRS) includes 4 Renal Health Centres based in Fitzroy Crossing, Broome, Kununurra, and Derby and a mobile prevention unit.
The incidence of Kidney Disease in the Kimberley is one of the highest in Australia.
Chronic Kidney disease (CKD) and End-Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) incidence within the Aboriginal population of the Kimberley greatly exceeds the national burden of disease.
Dialysis prevalence for this region has more than tripled in the last decade and is increasing at a much faster rate than in the rest of Western Australia (WA).
KRS and the regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) have developed a renal strategic plan to help combat this health crisis.
This has enabled many patients to return to the Kimberley from Perth, which is 2,500kms away, to receive their treatment.

In addition to the sealed Route 1 which runs along the southern part of the area, the unsealed Gibb River Road runs through the heart of the region from Derby to the highway near Kununurra.
Access to much of the region is by dirt road, air or sea.
About the Opportunity Kimberley Renal Services now has an opportunity for a Specialist Clerk to join their KRS team in Broome, WA , on a full time basis.
The role of the Kimberley Renal Services Specialist Clerk is to coordinate medical specialist appointments and referrals.
This position liaises with key stakeholders to organise patient's attendance at nephrology, allied health clinics and general practitioner appointments.
Some of your key responsibilities will include; Process renal referrals received from primary health care providers Record accurate referral and clinic data daily for GP and Nephrology clinics.
Assist with the development and distribution of resources.
Prepare meeting minutes and agenda as identified in the KRS Meeting Schedule.
Provide a high standard of reception services to KRS clients, staff and visitors.
For a copy of the job description, please click here About You To be successful in this position, you will need to have previous administration experience , along with sound computer and keyboard skills, proficient in word, excel, power point, email.
Competency in the use of computer programs is required.
In this fast-paced role, you must be able to work as an effective team member and maintain confidentiality at all levels.
You will also be committed to the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal Community Control, acting in a culturally appropriate manner at all times.
While not essential,candidates with knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation will be held in high regard.
Please note: To be eligible for this role, you will be required to hold a current 'C' Class Driver's License.
Your employment will also be subject to a National Police Clearance.
