As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will drive the growth of the Konecranes and Demag Light Lifting Equipment portfolio by achieving order and sales targets within the defined territory. You will manage a portfolio of existing accounts and actively seek out new business opportunities, providing tailored solutions for clients.
Key Responsibilities: Achieve sales volume, market share, and new business development targets for Light Lifting Applications. Actively pursue leads and move them through the sales cycle, from inquiry to successful order. Utilize your mechanical aptitude and abstract thinking skills to visualize and design crane solutions based on client needs. Work directly with clients to understand their requirements, sketch crane solutions, and use internal systems to formulate and present detailed solutions back to them. Develop custom solutions for customers through strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Prepare and present quotations and tenders, ensuring all commercial terms comply with company policies. Use Konecranes configurator and offering tools to accurately prepare solutions. Maintain and manage a sales funnel with focus on total funnel value, offers, activities per month, and securing orders in line with budget requirements. Build strong relationships with key clients through regular face-to-face visits. Collaborate with the Equipment Sales and Service Teams to identify and develop new opportunities. Ensure compliance with WHS policies and maintain a safe working environment. Skills and Experience Required: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to visualize, design, and create KBK crane solutions tailored to customer needs. Abstract thinking to interpret client requirements and translate them into actionable solutions. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop creative, effective solutions for clients. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building long-term client relationships. Experience managing the sales process through CRM systems, with a solid understanding of pricing policies. Experience working with technical products, preferably within lifting or mechanical equipment. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to balance customer needs and company objectives. Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including Service, Sales, and Engineering.
