We are looking for a Senior Electrical and Automation Specialist to join our team!
Responsibilities
Lead Engineer on projects as required and act as Project Manager for minor works, studies and projects. Support Project Management delivery team ensuring all projects are carried out to a budget and detailed plan. Monitor contract variations and project progress. Provide oversight, technical leadership and mentoring; assist with preparation and checking of process budgets, schedules and manpower requirements for Lead Engineers. Ensure project objectives are met through effective coordination of resources with Project Managers and Project Engineers. Takes ownership for the technical quality of the deliverables. Provide support for bid preparation and client meetings in conjunction with the required Sales Department Personnel. Act as point of contact or relationship manager with clients as required. Ensures that appropriate tools and methods are applied and contributes technical expertise to the department. Develop and maintain the Company's knowledge base. Stays informed of latest developments within Area of Expertise through relationships with technology providers. Actively develops, promotes and participates in technical networks. Carries out technical audits and peer review of projects. Act as an entrepreneur on new developments of products, processes and tools towards enhancing Company competitiveness. Management Tasks
Ensure compliance with Company and Client Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures. Encourage teamwork through communication, leadership and direction to the workforce to ensure work is conducted safely and responsibly. Conduct performance appraisals and identify training and career development requirements for employees ensuring staff are competent in their roles. Control budgets including personnel planning, and report back to reporting manager. Responsible for performance management, absenteeism management and the approvals of timesheets and leave requests. Be responsible for personal health and safety, and for that of other persons who may be affected by acts or omissions. Immediately rectify (if possible) and report any incident, non-conformance or potential hazard, notify management of any actual or potential safety, quality or environmental incident, hazard or occurrence. Bachelor of Engineering in the relevant discipline or equivalent Demonstrated capability in supervising large or multiple teams Experienced in proposal development and client relationships. #J-18808-Ljbffr
