Job Title: ChefWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Cloncurry Roadhouse in Queensland.
As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for managing designated sections of the kitchen, planning menus, organizing food preparation, and ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee kitchen sections, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.Plan and implement seasonal and special menus, ensuring efficient use of ingredients and food costings.Review and advise management on kitchen shift and labour requirements, particularly during events and festivals.Place stock orders and manage inventory, including dry goods, cold storage, frozen items, and fresh produce.Communicate with management and kitchen staff on menu items, allergens, and preparation methods.Cook and oversee food preparation during service shifts, ensuring presentation meets standards.Attend pre-service and post-service meetings with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to discuss restaurant operations.Requirements:AQF Certificate IV or Diploma in a related field.At least two years of experience in a similar role.Compensation:$73,000 - $75,000 per year + Superannuation.
Working Hours:Full-time, 38 hours per week.
