We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team.
As a Kitchen Hand, you will assist the kitchen staff by performing a variety of tasks to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
Your role will be focused on supporting food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that the kitchen environment is safe and organised.
Responsibilities Dishwashing: Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Food Prep Assistance: Help with basic food prep, like chopping and measuring.
Cleaning & Sanitising: Keep kitchen areas clean and organised.
Stocking & Organising: Assist with deliveries and storing supplies.
Waste Management: Empty trash and manage recyclables.
Kitchen Safety: Follow safety and hygiene regulations.
Support to Kitchen Staff: Assist with tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Inventory Assistance: Help maintain and rotate stock.
Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work efficiently and in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Physical stamina to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods.
Ability to work well as part of a team and under the direction of senior kitchen staff.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
