The Role Ventia / Wajarri Enterprises Limited (WEL) are currently looking to engage a Kitchenhand to support our Living Services team working on Ventia's Square Kilometre Array Project (SKAO) in South Murchinson.
Reporting to the Head Chef, this role will see you play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and a clean working environment.
This is a full-time permanent role, working 12hour days on a 2:1 roster.
Shifts will be 09:00am-09:00pm, or 09:00pm-09:00am.
The point-of-hire for this position is either Perth (with flights from Jandakot) or Geraldton, WA to Boolardy Airstrip in South Murchinson.
The annual package for this position is $88,900 per year + nightshift allowances (when applicable).

Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping vegetables and fruits Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment Ensure work surfaces and floors are kept clean and sanitized Support kitchen staff with various tasks, including plating dishes and preparing simple meals as required Stock rotation, loading and unloading supplies, restocking consumables, and assist with stock take Requirements: WA Driver's Licence – Highly regarded Physically Fit and energetic Open and clear communication within a team environment The Company Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.

The SKA Observatory (SKAO) is a global collaboration to build and operate the SKA telescopes - the world's largest and most capable radio telescopes.
During its more than 50-year lifetime, the SKAO Observatory will expand our understanding of the Universe and drive technological developments worldwide.
The project is located at CSIRO's Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory, a legislated radio quiet zone in remote Western Australia, approximately 800kms north of Perth and 315kms northeast of Geraldton.
The Wajarri Yamaji, as traditional owners of the MRO site, play an important role in enabling Australia to co-host the SKA Project and will benefit through community development, infrastructure, training and education.
