As a Kitchen Steward, you are critical in keeping the food offerings flowing by providing our Guests with clean, sanitary utensils, silverware, plate ware and glassware. At Topgolf, this is a highly appreciated role as we know the work isn't the easiest, but we have countless Kitchen Stewards crushing it every day, and it's not uncommon to pivot on a shift and help the cooks (and vice versa)!
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure all kitchenware is returned to its allocated kitchen area and stored in a clean and safe manner.
• Report any issues that may affect kitchen operations or food safety immediately to your Team Leader.
• Report breakages and/or damaged goods to your Team Leader.
• Assist with event setup and pack down, such as preparing of plate warmers, setting buffets, collection of plates/cutlery and service equipment from event location, and returned to kitchen for cleaning and storage.
• Complete daily tasks such as empty and clean rubbish bins, sanitise hand basins, clean and sanitise kitchen trolleys, refill hand towel dispensers and hand soap when required, spray benches with sanitiser, clean kitchen floors, check all equipment is switched off after use and lock all fridges and doors on exit.
• Complete weekly check lists such as cleaning of cold room door, seals and flaps, bleach chopping boards, de-scale dishwasher, clean dry store shelving, clean ice-machines, clean range hood, defrost and clean chest freezer, heavy duty clean of wok stations, and polish stainless steel walls.
• Adhere to health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, to cover lunch and dinner periods during the week, as well as on weekends and public holidays is essential.
