We are seeking a Kitchen Hand to join our family-run café in Gladstone! Join Our Expanding Team! Immediate Start Work with an Amazing Team Competitive Hourly Rate Job Summary: At our café, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality food and coffee every day! We prioritise maintaining a clean, hygienic, and well-organised workplace.
As a Kitchen Hand, you will work closely with the Head Chef and have the opportunity to learn and enhance your skills.
You will play a crucial role in supporting both our front and back-of-house teams, ensuring our operations run smoothly Key Responsibilities: Efficiently and safely prepare food according to company standards Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to federal and state hygiene regulations Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve daily production targets Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members Manage time efficiently to provide prompt support Stay composed and handle busy periods or conflicts calmly Uphold the cleanliness and quality of all kitchen equipment, crockery, dishware, and glassware Assist front and back-of-house staff as needed About You: Food Handling Certificate Strong literacy and numeracy skills Proven experience in a kitchen environment, particularly with knife skills and vegetable preparation Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting Excellent communication skills Reliable with a positive attitude and a commitment to learning and self-development Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy equipment Your Reward: Opportunity to work in a brand-new kitchen Collaborate with a Chef who has over 30 years of experience Gain valuable insights and skills from a seasoned professional Enhance your culinary expertise Enjoy no night work!
