Our residential aged care facility caters to men and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, or who have experienced financial or social disadvantage. We are seeking employees who will assist in the operations of the kitchen and food provision for residents.
3 days a week part time: Tuesday and Wednesday morning shifts and Sunday 11 am to 7 pm.
4 days a week part time: Wednesday and Thursday morning shifts and Friday and Saturday from 1 pm to 7:30 pm.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Maintain a high level of safety and hygiene in the kitchen areaAssist in provision of balanced menus for clients and staffEnsure adequate food stock and rotation of stored foodReceive food deliveries and ensure prompt and correct storageMaintain accurate records in accordance with the Vulnerable Persons Food Safety ProgramEnsure the security of the kitchen area, the food serving trolley, utensils and keysRequirements for Success: Experience working in aged care would be an advantageExperience in a food handling role – preferredExperience in cooking/catering - advantageousKnowledge and understanding of food hygiene and food safetyRelevant Certificate in Food SafetyFlu and Covid two dose plus booster vaccination is mandatoryBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks.
