We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Geneff Aged Care Home located in Innallo. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Geneff is one of our smaller sites, with 38 beds across four houses located a short walk away from Stirling Station.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience or an interest in food preparation and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.
This role is being offered on a permanent part-time basis, 21 hours per week working the following roster; Wednesday 9am – 4.30pm Thursday - 9am – 4.30pm Friday - 9am – 4.30pm About You Possess a passion for or previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment Have a 'can do' attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents Reliable with a strong work ethic Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one) The Role Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards Ensuring required ingredients are available daily Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery Working with Bethanie
