ABOUT US Redbrick Coffee is a Canberra based specialty coffee company operating five venues as well as supplying coffee to cafes, restaurants and bars across Canberra. THE ROLE Our city venue ARC is growing and new opportunities have become available in our kitchen team. These positions are in a supporting role to the Head chef and kitchen team as a kitchen hand and will be offered as a casual position. Within this team you will assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen space, assisting with preparations jobs, receiving and handling goods from our suppliers, and assisting with the cooking and creation of both bakery products and takeaway and dine-in food.
Whether you have experience in restaurants, cafés or patisserie, we are looking for individuals who enjoy using their skills broadly across the different areas of our venue. This is an excellent position for someone starting their Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. Have previous experience in high-volume café / restaurant kitchens.Can communicate effectively with a diverse team of colleagues.Are passionate about food, people, hospitality and experiences.Can successfully work both independently and collaboratively within the team.Love working in a fast-paced environment, but are uncompromising when it comes to quality.Can understand and comply with OH&S standards and food safety requirementsNeed to be available for at least one weekend day, and potentially cover shifts when staff are away.
