Support the Hospitality Catering Team to assist in meal preparation and cleaning of the kitchen environment.

Who are we looking for?Support the preparation of nutritious and flavoursome meals that meet the dietary requirements of our residents while maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen environment.
What can you expect to be doing?Assist in preparing enjoyable, nutritious meals for our residents in our Trott Park site based on their individual requirements or modified dietLiaise with the staff at the centre for feedback on how meals were received and for any updates to dietary requirementsUse initiative, be organised and flexible to meet food service needs, including promotion of healthy eating practicesLead and assist the hospitality team in meal preparation and following food handling practicesProvide prompt courteous service and act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with residents, families, team, and colleaguesGain diverse experience by working in both cooking and kitchen hand roles, enhancing your culinary and kitchen management skillsOperate and clean all equipment as per legislative and procedural requirementsWhat do you need to bring?Working towards Certificate III in Commercial CookeryExperience working in an aged care environmentProven ability to work in a similar roleDemonstrated understanding of food hygiene practicesAbility to develop a strong, cohesive teamworkExceptional customer service skills and ability to interact with our residents in a friendly mannerWho is AnglicareSA?As one of SA's largest social services providers, AnglicareSA makes a positive difference to the lives of more than 50,000 people each year.
