About the role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Coordinator, who is passionate about providing the best for children to join the Kensington Centre team on a Casual (as required) basis.
Working autonomously, the successful applicant will ensure a high standard of quality, service and presentation of meals and maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen.
What you'll do: Responsibilities include however are not limited to: Cooking and preparing meals as per the menu.
Stock and produce shopping, ordering and rotation.
Plating up and delivery of meals to children's rooms.
Checking/testing temperature of food and recording.
Ensure awareness of children's requirements/allergies and prepare meals accordingly.
What We're Looking For You will be highly organised and have a thorough understanding of food safety practices including HACCP together with the following: Qualification in Commercial Cookery or Certificate III in Early Childhood Food Safety and Allergen training qualification Knowledge of special dietary requirements and food allergies Sound knowledge and experience in food preparation and cooking meals Experience working autonomously in a kitchen Effective communication skills, interpersonal and relationship building skills Self-motivated and show initiative High level of attention to detail Current Working with Children Check National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months) Training in Food Safety as per Local Government approved training program, including allergen training will be undertaken by the successful candidate.
As part of our commitment to being a Child Safe organisation, successful candidates are required to provide their Immunisation History Statement.
While immunisations are highly encouraged, they are not mandatory.
This information will help us assess and implement appropriate safety measures for everyone.
