Create, enhance, and maintain COBOL programs and mainframe-based applications to meet business requirements.
Application Support Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing mainframe applications, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
Documentation Write and maintain technical specifications, documentation, and operational procedures.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Code Optimization Optimize existing COBOL code to improve efficiency and performance.
Database Management: Interact with DB2 databases, write and optimize SQL queries, and ensure data integrity.
Compliance and Standards Ensure code adheres to organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Testing and Debugging Conduct unit testing, assist in system integration testing, and debug programs as needed.
Mandatory Requirements: Must have Mainframe Cobol Coding Capability Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
Strong understanding of mainframe utilities and tools like TSO, ISPF, VSAM, and SDSF.
Experience with batch and online processing in mainframe environments.
Knowledge of file transfer protocols and middleware integration.
Familiarity with debugging tools such as Xpediter or Abend-AID.
