Support Queensland's social and economic outcomes by managing the budget for the state-wide. Provide high-level financial advice, costing and analysis to the Chief Finance Officer, Executive Director, and other stakeholders on complex financial issues. Work with business areas to develop and manage systems, processes, and tools for financial management. Contribute to the development of an annual plan outlining investment priorities for the upcoming year. Lead the production of accurate, timely financial reports, including cost center analysis, budget variance reports, and national reporting. Communicate financial management advice clearly to stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial information, cost allocation, and performance measures. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience providing expert budget advice to executive management, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals. Strong background in leading and coordinating financial services, including budgeting, management accounting, and financial performance across diverse business areas. Successfully managed financial projects, meeting deadlines and balancing competing priorities. Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement in work practices, systems, and processes. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including consultation, negotiation, and relationship-building with stakeholders. Ready to make a difference?
