Our work Chris Wheeler is the lead real estate, construction and infrastructure partner in the Canberra office of King & Wood Mallesons, where he specialises in commercial, property and development projects as well as construction, planning and environment law.
Chris has established a leading reputation in the business, government and education sectors.
Government & private sector clients alike attest to the depth of his expertise.
Such clients include Australian National University, QIC, ISPT, CCPPIB, Department of Finance, Suburban Land Agency, Department of Foreign Affairs, KDN Group, Lendlease, Mirvac, Quadrant and University of Canberra.
About the team Our Canberra team acts in landmark construction and infrastructure projects around the country and in the ACT.
You will be responsible for varied legal work which often sets the pace in the market.
The team is a group of professionals recognised for their expertise in cutting edge sustainable developments.
We also actively participate in the sector through hands on involvement in the Property Council of Australia, the Green Building Council and the ACT Law Society and have been instrumental in shaping the ACT's planning and environment laws and the ACT and region's development scene.
You will have As a 3+ PQE Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to build a successful career in a supportive and achievement orientated environment.
Working with a genuine leader in the law and industry, you will be providing project and legal advice on matters relating to landmark development and infrastructure projects, industry policy, major acquisitions and disposals, commercial developments, planning and environment, and commercial and retail leasing.
Your excellent communication skills will assist in the development of client relationships and the appropriate delegation of work to other members of the team.
Your project management and legal skills will assist in identifying, at an early stage, any key risks the client may encounter.
You will enjoy working as part of a close, collaborative and committed team.
