The Opportunity The Digital Content Writer, reporting to the Senior Content Writer, will be responsible for creating compelling short- and long-form content that brings King Living's brand and products to life.
This role will ensure a consistent tone of voice and messaging across all channels, including email, website, social media, digital platforms, video, and print.
With a publisher/journalist mindset, the Digital Content Writer will be responsible for understanding the King Living audience and creating commercially viable content, of the highest standard, tailored to their personas.
You'll be passionate about safeguarding the brand voice and driven to craft innovative, customer-centric copy that achieves key goals—boosting brand awareness, generating leads, increasing website traffic, and driving sales growth.
Partnering with internal teams, including graphic design, e Commerce, product development, design, and retail, you will ensure all content aligns with King Living's business objectives and enhances the customer experience.
The Role Collaborate with the digital marketing team and external agencies to craft high-impact copy for social media, search and digital campaigns.
Create engaging benefit-driven content for organic social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, and Pinterest.
Develop captions and supers for You Tube videos that enhance engagement and brand messaging.
Develop e DM copy in line with global content and promotional calendar.
Write engaging and targeted e DMs for various campaigns, including Trade, Nurture, Post-purchase, Outlet, and ad-hoc campaigns.
Develop concise and effective SMS content for marketing campaigns.
Actively monitor and review e DM performance to inform future copy development.
Review current website copy and identify opportunities for improved clarity, readability, and engagement.
Update and refresh existing content to ensure it remains relevant and optimised over time, particularly for long-term content strategies.
Collaborate on SEO optimisation efforts to enhance content visibility and ranking.
Support the Senior Copywriter across PR communications, product copy, blog article content writing and wider business projects.
Assist with end-to-end content workflow processes and proofreading content to ensure accuracy.
About You 2-3 years of copywriting experience with a relevant tertiary degree.
Strong storytelling abilities and a solid understanding of writing techniques to engage and generate a response from the target audience, ensuring a consistent brand voice across all touchpoints.
An understanding and ability to implement CORE (create once, repurpose everywhere) principles for content creation.
An ear to the ground when it comes to the zeitgeist and trending topics.
Proven ability to write market-leading headlines, identify USPs and craft benefit-driven customer-first copy.
Proficient in leveraging AI tools to optimise content creation, streamline processes, and boost productivity.
Proficient in SEO, with the ability to create optimised content that improves search rankings, drives organic traffic, and aligns with user intent.
A solid understanding of copy best practices and how the visual and verbal elements support each other.
Keen eye for detail, with strong proofreading and copyediting skills.
Experience in a fast-paced retail environment is desirable.
Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
