ABOUT THIS ROLE
Our large client in the Intelligence community requires several Data Engineers and Data Scientists to protect and enhance Australia's security, prosperity, and sovereignty.
You will solve complex problems, utilise state-of-the-art technology, including building and deploying Cloud, Software, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications, and contribute to strategy and decision-making that has a real impact on the future operations of the National Intelligence Community.
We are seeking to engage two experienced Data Engineers who will be responsible for developing data models, optimising data flow, designing and maintaining infrastructure for data collection and analysis, and ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and actionable.
We are also seeking to engage two Data Scientists who will collaborate with stakeholders to understand project needs, apply AI and machine learning methodologies, analyse data to maximise value, develop advanced analytics, and stay updated on industry trends to enhance team capabilities.
The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4/5, or equivalent.

Security Clearance: TOP SECRET Positive Vetting or Privileged Access clearances are highly desired, but also willing to consider appropriate candidates with a minimum of a BASELINE clearance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure for high availability, reliability, and performance Proactively resolve issues, perform maintenance, and ensure security compliance Implement access controls, encryption, backups, and disaster recovery plans Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document resolutions Design scalable and secure cloud solutions based on business needs Collaborate on cloud architecture and strategy Plan and execute cloud migration strategies SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED Data Engineer - Demonstrable knowledge of best practice for acquiring and managing structured and unstructured data assets utilising streaming and batch data processing Extensive experience of Python for data management and scaling in production applications Knowledge of current practices in API design, Version Control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) practices is desirable MLOps practices in managing code and model release cycles and real-time monitoring would be desirable Experience working within AWS cloud environments is highly desirable Data Scientist - Extensive experience of Python used in accessing, exploring, and enriching data assets Demonstrable knowledge of current Statistical, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning methodologies and design processes Demonstrable experience of current practices in API access, Version Control (Git), and MLOps Demonstrable knowledge of best practices in data communications and visualisations Why Kinexus?
