The college's curriculum integrates Jewish traditions, enriching the Early Learning Centre (ELC) environment through play-based learning.
The ELC is closely connected with the broader school community, allowing primary and secondary students to interact and participate in activities with the younger children.
The position involves a rotating schedule: one week from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the following week from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The role includes four weeks of annual leave at the end of the year, an additional two weeks of leave (pro-rated for part-time employees) between February and November, as well as all Jewish holidays.
Key Duties: Base teaching on best theoretical and practical knowledge and knowledge of each student's development, skills, and interests.Identify and cater to individual learner needs, collaborating with other teachers and specialist staff in the College.Provide an environment that promotes the cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and intellectual wellbeing of all students.Work closely with parents regarding the progress and development of their children.Participate in the creation, development, and evaluation of curriculum, with a focus on Jewish tradition.Design lesson plans and assessments that reflect a deep understanding of the content.Stay informed regarding current trends, teaching practices, and curriculum and resource developments by remaining in contact with relevant associations and other professional networks.Keep confidential records, respond to inquiries, and promote the centre professionally.Actively participate in the integrated team, ensuring compliance with policies, Child Safe Standards, and the Australian Early Childhood Association Code of Ethics.Skills & Experience: Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalency)Current NESA registration and WWCCPrevious/current experience as a Kindergarten Teacher in AustraliaSatisfactory Police and Working with Children checksWhy work with Tradewind?
