Job Title: Kiln Operator Location: Jindera, NSW
Our Client: A leading company in the clay brick manufacturing industry is seeking a dedicated Kiln Maintenance Operator to join their production team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to contribute to a dynamic and safety-focused workplace.
Position Objective: The Kiln Maintenance Operator will safely and effectively operate and maintain production equipment, including the Kiln, Pre-Heaters, and Dryers. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and manufacturing clay bricks that exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety and Compliance:
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to WHS&E policies and procedures.
Assist in the training of team members on safety standards and practices.
Operations:
Operate and maintain the kiln and associated equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Conduct quality checks on bricks and take corrective actions as necessary.
Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and tidy work environment.
Maintenance:
Execute mechanical repairs and participate in preventative maintenance planning.
Conduct fault finding and problem-solving activities to minimize downtime.
Perform welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics tasks as needed.
Training and Development:
Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Assist in training other employees as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a production or technical role within a similar industry.
Trade Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical fields will be advantageous.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of process improvement practices and safety/environmental systems.

Work Conditions:
The role involves a 12-hour shift rotation, including day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Willingness to be on call and cover shifts as needed.
