A loving family in Killara, NSW are seeking a happy and kind nanny to assist in the care of their energetic and engaging 5-year-old daughter.
An ideal nanny would be calm, patient, and nurturing. Someone who is experienced and firm when required, but also fair. A nanny who is genuinely interested in engaging in play and fun activities and also encouraging reading and educational conversations to assist growth and development.
A confident driver to carry out school pick-ups and transport to afternoon activities. Must be cat friendly.
The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows: To care for the child Follow the child's routine Play and engage in educational and age-appropriate activities School pick-ups and after school activity (swimming) transport Take out for walks/to the park, library and activities when required Prepare and cook simple family meals, and snacks for the child Light household duties i.e., general tidying up of toys, emptying/loading dishwasher, etc. Contract length: 6 months with the option to extend if all working well.
Pay: $35 per hour
The days and normal hours are: 4 afternoons – 25.5 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 3pm – 6pm (would consider only three afternoons for the right candidate.)
*With the opportunity for additional hours during school holidays.
The family's expectations from their nanny are: 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care Confident or experienced dealing with allergies (peanut) Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one) Have a current Working with Children check Display strong communication skills and speak English.
