Inspire the next generation to develop coding skills and create their own video games! Who are we? Code Camp is Australia's leading specialist school holiday and after-school provider. We are looking for fun and energetic casual staff to assist at our after-school classes in Term 4 2024!
Is this you? Enjoy working with kids (ages 5-12) to build their knowledge and confidence Keen to use technology in fun and creative ways Able to engage with kids, motivate and manage them within a classroom environment Trustworthy, independent, punctual and reliable Available during after-school hours approx. 3pm-5pm Able and willing to travel to school locations in Fraser Rise Melbourne, on Wednesday Afternoons with the opportunity to work other days in surrounding areas. School holiday work also available Required Skills: Whilst we don't require a specific degree or coding experience, interest in technology is a must and you should have some of the following experience (or similar):
Experience or enjoy working with primary-aged kids Tech savvy, ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Beginner coding knowledge (preferred) - drag and drop/block coding Must be confident in speaking in front of a small group of children and delivering provided lesson plans in a fun and engaging way Mature outlook, common sense and ability to identify and take action to manage risk and ensure active supervision of children inside the classroom Fluent conversational English Paid Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain it immediately Must own or be willing to obtain a laptop with the ability to connect to a HDMI port About the position: Deliver and facilitate our lesson plans to a class solo or in a team each week. Set up and pack away equipment (all provided by Code Camp) Engaging with the students in a fun and safe way inside and outside the classroom Keeping in contact with Head Office if you have any questions or concerns via Slack Complete staff training prior to first session (this is completed online at your convenience) What we do: Code Camp is a company that offers coding and creative school holiday and after-school programs to kids aged 5-12yrs.
