This position is a permanent, full-time role based remotely and will report directly to the National Business Manager. We are open to considering candidates from Melbourne or Sydney. Interested candidates must be willing to travel domestically at least 20% of the time or as needed to attend internal and external meetings and events.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading strategic joint business planning & negotitaion with customer head offices & key decision makers. Working alongside all functions of our business to connect and drive cross-departmental relationships with our customers to meet or exceed their needs while also meeting or exceeding our business objectives. This includes respnsibility for budget achievement, promotion of the company, its products, its sales and marketing plans.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesEnsures achievement of nominated sales and expense objectives for specified KAs, as determined by the National Business Manager—Key Accounts.Maintain the key account sales and expenditure forecasts, ensuring all existing and new opportunities are accurately captured and reported.Develops and implements key account business plans and promotional activities, monitoring against expense budgets (GTN) to maintain appropriate profitability and stay within the approved budget.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders; own, lead, and drive commercial discussions.Demonstrate expert product knowledge. Identify national training/educational opportunities, work alongside our technical teams to execute.Be highly organized.Demonstrate the ability to manage and coordinate cross-functionally, both internally and externally, to drive account objectives and executional excellence.Understand and analyze industry and customer data to develop insights and offer high-value, mutually profitable solutions to our customers.Lead account planning reviews with the customer and with internal colleagues to meet or exceed mutual expectations.Completes all administrative responsibilities to ensure key account activity is accurately captured and processed (approvals and claims) or ad hoc tasks as directed by management.RequirementsA bachelor's degree in business-related courses is highly regarded but not required.Minimum 3 years experience in either National Key Account Management or Retail Buying Category Management, managing finished retail goods in FMCG businesses.Experience gained within Grocery & Pet Retail highly regarded but will also consider other retail industry experience managing retail finished branded goods.Must have experience negotiating Trading Terms & promotional activity in Key Accounts.Ability to create strong rapport and build collaborative relationships.Strategic vision to plan both short- and long-term goals for accounts.High-level analytical skills through data manipulation and management.Ability to highlight & communicate opportunities and gaps.Strong commercial acumen that drives successful outcomes.Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.What we offerBoehringer Ingelheim offers a competitive remuneration, attractive bonus scheme, health insurance, employee assistance program, development programs and career development opportunities.We want the best to applyBoehringer Ingelheim is a global employer who takes pride in maintaining a diverse and inclusive culture.
