About the Role: Kellyville Private Hospital is looking for the services of a RN or EEN professional who has comprehensive knowledge in mental health assessment as well as strong technical and organisational skills to facilitate inpatient admission and work in a multidisciplinary team with psychiatrists, allied health, nursing, and administration staff.
This person will act as a liaison to the hospital in building relationships and assessing patients eligible for admission.
The role is primarily hospital-based and works as an integral component of the team and Psychiatrists in mental health assessment.
This position will be the central point of contact for patients, referrers, and our clinicians to support the smooth transition of patients between our services and programs.
Minimum Requirements: Current registration with APHRA or similar Mental health triage skills Ability to work collaboratively with consumers, carers, staff, external stakeholders, and members of the public Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on patient-centred care Strong, collaborative interpersonal communication skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated understanding of Mental Health Act and services, with the ability to apply it when assessing suitability for admission Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential Demonstrated experience in a Mental Health setting Knowledge of health fund rules and prior private hospital experience highly regarded Due to the large number of applications received, only those advancing to a shortlist will be contacted.
