KBR is currently seeking Expression of Interest for a talented Program Manager. The Program Manager holds a critical role in overseeing and managing the execution of a sustainment project within Defence. The role demands a deep understanding of Defence systems, technologies, and operations, coupled with strong leadership and organisational skills.
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a sustainment project within our organisation. This role involves managing multiple subcontracts, coordinating and advising technical teams, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
Program Leadership: Provide direction and leadership, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of the sustainment project, ensuring efficient resource allocation, risk mitigation, and milestone achievement. Team Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless execution and integration of program components. Documents and Deliverables: Draft and contribute to all Commonwealth required document deliverables such as Support Services Management Plan, Performance Measurement Reports and the Program Execution plan. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate program progress, risks, and successes to internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and alignment of expectations. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success, including compliance with regulatory standards and security protocols. Financial Oversight: Monitor program budgets, expenses, and resource allocation, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness throughout the program lifecycle. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within program management, leveraging lessons learned for future initiatives. Company Growth and Opportunities: Assist in the bids and work take on process, including opportunity identification, qualification and proposal submission. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred but not essential. Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in defence program management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. Knowledge: Deep understanding of defence systems, technologies, and industry regulations; familiarity with government contracts and acquisition processes. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in guiding multidisciplinary teams toward common goals. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to diverse audiences. Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of making data-driven decisions in complex and dynamic environments. Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or relevant certifications in program management are desirable.
