Who You Are
You're a skilled Generator Specialist with a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generator systems. Your expertise ensures that critical power solutions are reliable and ready to support mission success for our customers. You excel at diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance, ensuring that generators operate at peak performance in any environment.

What You'll Do
In the role of Generator Specialist , your duties will include:
Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of generator systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of generator systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Diagnostic Testing: Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues in generator systems, utilizing specialized tools and equipment for accurate assessments.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and prepare reports for management review.
Safety Compliance: Implement and uphold safety protocols during all operations, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Training and Support: Provide technical guidance and training to team members and other personnel on the proper use and maintenance of generator systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations during power outages or emergencies.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability for timely maintenance and repairs.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance generator performance and operational efficiency.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to generator failures and emergencies, providing on-site support to restore power quickly and efficiently.
Requirements:
Must be a US or Australian citizen
Must have a US Secret clearance, or an Australian NV-1 clearance
Must have a minimum of five years of experience as a generator specialist
Must be a Certified Generator Mechanic (Note: CAT is strongly preferred)
Must be a Certified OEM Generator Operator (Note: Preferably CAT certified)
Must be capable of troubleshooting small and large generators (i.e., Cummins, FG Wilson, Agrrekko, Caterpillar)
Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
Desired Qualifications:
OEM Power Plant Operator Certification
CAT Certification
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
