Walking a New Path Together Project Coordinator Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is currently looking for a Walking a New Path Together Project Coordinator.
This position is for a male Project Coordinator, who will work primarily with male community members and young men from the Katherine West region in alignment with cultural protocols.
The position will be well suited to someone with a tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Social Work, Youth Work, or Outdoor Education.

Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative, and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory.
With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km2), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.

About the Opportunity
Katherine West Health Board has funding for a proactive program supporting early intervention for 11-17 year old males at risk of DFSV.
The Walking a New Path Together Project Coordinator will support two project officers to engage community members for a co-design approach for the program.
The role is instrumental in the implementation, delivery, and evaluation of the program.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Provide culturally safe and therapeutic social care to male Aboriginal young people in remote communities.
Engage with community members, Aboriginal staff, and local stakeholders to develop a culturally appropriate program that addresses the drivers of violence, prioritising the safety of victim-survivors.
Lead yarning and healing activities, alongside community members, Aboriginal staff, and mental health/social and emotional wellbeing staff.
Ensure program activities and outcomes are regularly documented as per the program funding requirements, including case notes, activities, surveys, visit summaries, and data reporting.
Undertake community engagement, case management, and program activities in accordance with cultural safety, child safety, KWHB organisational values, and program funding requirements.
