headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation supporting young people aged 12-25 years with their mental & general health care needs. headspace provides young people with the opportunity to seek help early. headspace brings together local health services under the one roof making it easier for young people and their families to find the information they need.
About the Role: The Clinical Educator has a significant role in providing holistic support to students and graduates participating in the Early Career Program at headspace Kalgoorlie and Esperance. Through mentoring and supervision, you will be assisting students and graduates in translating their mental health skills training into practice.
This role will also engage and build relationships with universities to support activities aligned with the goals of the Early Career Program, including supporting study groups, coordinating student placements, program evaluation, and education activities.
Requirements of the Role: We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who reflects and improves on their own practice, works safely, and contributes to team effectiveness. The right candidate will have experience in the provision of supervision and mentoring.
You will need a tertiary qualification as well as current professional registration to practice with a relevant peak body such as APHRA or AASW.
In this role, you will need an in-depth understanding of co-occurring mental health challenges and experiences of young people in Regional Australia. To ensure the best outcomes for our clients, it is desirable to have a sound knowledge of harm reduction practices and experience in diversion and prevention work.
