05th November, 2024 OSM People is assisting a key client in finding an experienced JV Accountant to join a leading oil and gas operation on a 12-month contract. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid oil and gas experience to bring their skills to a dynamic team. You'll handle joint venture accounting responsibilities, including month-end tasks, budget support, and general ledger reconciliation, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Key Details: Full Time 12 Month ContractLocation: Perth WACompetitive RatesKey Responsibilities: JV Accounting / Month-End Duties: Prepare sales summaries, reconciliations, and revenue accruals.Compile and submit revenue invoices accurately and on time.Handle operated JV duties, including billing, cash calls, and PSC returns.Support Project Coordinators in budget preparation.Calculate and post JV overheads and cost-charging mechanisms to operated JVs.Maintain WBE (Work Breakdown Structure) within SAP.Accounting / Month-End Duties: Oversee accounting responsibilities, including monthly accruals.Run monthly allocations and recharges, including direct recharges.Prepare intercompany invoices.Perform realised and unrealised foreign exchange calculations and checks.Maintain Fixed Assets Register and asset records, including settlement, amortisation, and depreciation.Reconcile general ledger accounts.About You: Proven experience as a JV Accountant, ideally within the oil and gas industry.Proficiency in SAP and a solid understanding of JV accounting processes.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected client within the oil and gas sector and gain exposure to high-level JV accounting operations.
