Utilise your Administrative expertise to provide support and advice to Corrections Victoria within Melbourne's Western Metropolitan area. A Fixed-Term, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service until 3rd June 2025. About the Business Unit: The North West Metropolitan Area (NWMA) accounts for approximately 1800 staff across 21 sites. These sites deliver a range of services including custodial services at prisons, Community Correctional Services, Youth Justice Services, Sheriff's Operations, Consumer Affairs, and management of community services.
About the Role: The Justice Officer role is to deliver friendly, efficient customer service to clients of the Department of Justice and Regulation, as well as providing consistent, timely and accurate administrative support to regional locations and staff.
Some of your duties will include:
Providing a range of high quality and efficient front of house administrative services. Providing information and assistance to clients and stakeholders. Providing reception and telephone responses for the location. The position is based at the Derrimut Community Work Service Centre. However, it is an expectation of the role that the successful applicant is willing to support at other locations across the North Metro. A driver's license is preferred but not essential.
About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Written Communication – The ability to produce a range of standard written documents, providing clear information. Verbal Communication – The ability to provide appropriately tailored and clear information to a range of groups.
