About This Role Utilise your Administrative expertise to provide support and advice to the Justice Services branch in North West MetroAn Ongoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public ServiceVPS Grade 2: $56,834 - $72,985 plus superannuation.About The Business Unit The Justice Officer is a position in Corporate Governance and Support team with the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS), North West Metropolitan Area (NWMA).
The North West Metropolitan Area (NWMA) accounts for approximately 1800 staff across 21 sites, delivering a range of services including custodial services at prisons, Community Correctional Services, Youth Justice Services, Sheriff's Operations, Consumer Affairs, and management of community services.
About The Role The Justice Officer role is to deliver friendly, efficient customer service to clients of the Department of Justice and Regulation, as well as providing consistent, timely and accurate administrative support to regional locations and staff.
The position is based at the Sunshine Justice Service Centre.
However, it is an expectation that the successful applicant is willing to support at other locations across either the North Metro.
A driver's license is therefore preferred but not essential.
Please note that Department policy stipulates that salary upon commencement is paid at the base of the salary range for the relevant grade.
Some Of Your Duties Will Include Providing a range of high quality and efficient front of house administrative services, such as Consumer Affairs or Births, Deaths and Marriages enquiries and applications.Providing information and assistance to clients, internal and external stakeholders and the public including the collation, review and processing of applications.Providing reception and telephone responses for the location.About You As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Written Communication – produce a range of standard written documents, providing clear information and using language appropriate to the audience.Verbal Communication – Assesses audience and provides appropriately tailored and clear information and explanations to a range of groups in an effective and confident manner.Computer Skills – effectively use departmental computer systems for basic word processing, email, appointment scheduling, and internet and intranet functions.How To Apply Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
