Director Finance and AdministrationFull-time PermanentDetails: The ACT Human Rights Commission is seeking an experienced, motivated and passionate person to join our Business Unit as the Senior Officer Grade B level, Director, Finance and Administration.This dynamic role sits within the President's Corporate team and part of the Commission, which is an independent statutory agency connected to the Justice and Community Safety Directorate. The functions of the President include:Managing the administration of the Commission; andEnsuring the Commission's functions are exercised in an orderly and prompt way.The President oversees the Governance and Corporate Support Team, which assists the President in fulfilling the above functions.Duties will include:Managing the Finance and Administration Team to provide a high standard of financial/ budget management and accountability, administrative and corporate support, and reporting including contributing to the Human Rights Commission's Annual Report.Manage delivery of reception functions - first point of contact for members of the public, clients, stakeholders, and contractors attending the ACT Human Rights Commission premises.Provide high-level strategic and practical advice on a range of budget and finance, corporate, governance and planning processes.Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders on a range of complex and sensitive issues.Support the Senior Director, Governance and Corporate Support at meetings and provide advice for other high-level meetings through clear and concise briefings.Manage the Finance and Administration Team, including business planning and resource allocation, while providing professional guidance and mentoring to staff.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.
