Magistrates Courts Service; Queensland Courts Service; Courts and Tribunals; Brisbane City
The Queensland Magistrates Courts Service (MCS), part of Court Services Queensland (CSQ), sits within the Courts and Tribunals division of DJAG.
MCS plays a vital role in the delivery of justice services.
Most Queenslanders who come in contact with the judicial system do so first through the magistrates' courts.

Provide high-level advice on relevant legislation and procedures, in relation to CSQ activities and contentious issues, often of a complex and sensitive nature.
Prepare correspondence including briefs, reports, memorandums, submissions, and executive and ministerial correspondence.
Contribute to the development of operational policies and procedures to support implementation of projects within CSQ.
Develop partnerships within CSQ and other Government agencies to ensure the effective implementation, reporting, and evaluation of projects within CSQ.
Consult with members of the judiciary, court staff, other government agencies, and external stakeholders on the implementation and evaluation of CSQ projects.
Ensure the establishment and effective operation of governance arrangements for the duration of projects.
Participate in inter-departmental and inter-agency meetings representing the interests of CSQ.
