Your Role
As a junior (green) planner you will develop all these responsibilities over time.
Meeting with local government officials, developers and the public regarding development plans and land use. Gathering and analysing economic, environmental, census and market research data. Conducting field investigations to analyse factors affecting land use. Reviewing site plans submitted by developers. Assessing the feasibility of proposals and recommending whether they should proceed. Staying up to date with zoning and building codes, environmental regulations and other legal issues. Carrying out site surveys, inspections and impact assessments. Presenting plans and reports to stakeholders. Obtaining required permit
Minimum requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or related discipline A minimum of 6 months local experience. Passion Demonstrated understanding of QLD planning policies and legislation, or a willingness to learn if your experience is from interstate or overseas. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
