Yan Honda Architects is searching for a Graduate or Mid level Architect to join our fast growing team.
About the APPLICANT
The successful applicant will be:
Experienced Architectural Draftsperson or Building Designer with recognised registration.
Have excellent ARCHICAD skills.
Have ability to travel to North Sydney to work from our Studio.
Have or willing to learn knowledge of Building Codes and Regulations across Australia.
Have or willing to learn knowledge of working on DA / CDC projects.
Have or willing to learn knowledge of producing working / construction drawing package.
Have the ability to work alongside management personnel.
Have the ability to communicate with consultants / clients in meetings face to face and on MS Teams / Zoom.
Have excellent written communication skills.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Review and discuss designs with new management personnel.
Produce plans and documentation for new and existing projects.
Assist others in the team with their preparation of plans.
Communicate between team members and departments on deliverables.
Work alongside 3D artists in directing the presentation of concepts.
Qualifications and Experience
Architectural Degree or equivalent.
Building Design, Drafting degree or equivalent.
Ideally Registered Building Designer.
The Applicant
The Applicant will be an experienced draftsperson and be capable of the following Building Design services:
Produce plans and documentation for proposed building work.
Assist with building permit documentation applications and other associated permits.
Have the ability to understand and implement council requirements.
Develop plans and documentation to enable builders to tender for construction.
Work closely with endorsed building engineers to produce compliant designs and drawings to obtain building permits.
Experience with local council and statutory authority lodgements.
Have the ability to work with other Draftspersons.
Work across multiple jobs at one time.
Assist other Draftspersons in the team working on similar projects.
