Junior Sous Chef

The Role Reporting to the Executive Chef and Head Chef the Junior Sous Chef will be managing the Breakfast kitchen and in the role, you will: Ensure adequate mis-en-place and forward planning in all outlet; Ensure that all staff adhere to standards in order to provide a consistent, high quality product for the guest.
This includes the standardisation of all recipes and the final presentation of food items; Actively contribute ideas and suggestions regarding new menus, recipes, and ways of improving consistency, product, revenue performance and the overall smooth operation of the kitchen; Oversee all documentation completed by CDP's (e.g.
Ordering consolidation and ordering sheets); Ensuring that food costs are maintained to meet the target set by the hotel.
Talent Profile High school education and diploma in culinary is required Deep understanding of culinary trends and the ability to implement them creatively Previous experience in a breakfast or brunch-focused role is preferred.
Previous experience in a fast-paced environment or in a 5 star hotel environment Excellent communication skills and leadership skills.
