Junior Sommelier

Traverse Alpine Group is a leading hospitality operator with a strong presence in remote areas. With a focus on delivering exceptional food and beverage services, Traverse Alpine Group has established a reputation for excellence. We are currently seeking a Junior Sommelier to join our team.
As a Junior Sommelier at Traverse Alpine Group, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our Senior Sommelier and contribute to the success of our award-winning establishments, including Astra Falls Creek, Huski Kitchen, Frying Pan Inn, and Cloud 9. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to showcase your passion for fine wines and deliver an unforgettable dining experience to our guests.
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a WSET LEVEL 2 certification and a strong knowledge of wines. You will work closely with our Senior Sommelier to update the wine list, recommend food and wine pairings, and provide guests with insights into different varieties of wines and their origins.

Requirements
Previous experience as a Junior Sommelier, Wine Steward/Stewardess, or similar role WSET LEVEL 2 certification (preferred) Strong knowledge of different wines and their origins Ability to create tasteful food and wine pairings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences Flexibility to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays
