We are inviting applications for a Permanent Full-Time Junior School Sports Coordinator to commence in Term 1 2025.
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Sport, lead the development and implementation of the Junior School Sports Program inclusive of the afternoon sports day and Saturday sports. Work closely with Junior school specific stakeholders (e.g., IPSHA) to ensure the effective management of team sports. Work with the Sports Assistants to ensure a smooth transition of coaches and resources across the different sporting seasons. Assist in the organisation of the IPSHA and other carnivals, trials, and initiatives. First point of contact relating to sports offerings in the Junior School setting. Working days are Tuesday - Saturday. The ideal candidate:
Demonstrated experience in a similar role will be highly regarded. Demonstrated experience working with IPSHA or other external sporting associations. Demonstrated experience managing a large operation. Highly effective communication skills - written and verbal. Ability to engage with and develop effective relationships with a range of personalities and age groups. High level administrative skills with proficiency across standard IT platforms and software. Involvement or experience in coaching or playing at a high level in sports including netball, soccer/football, hockey, touch football, basketball, water polo, and athletics.
