We are looking for a casual Junior Retail Assistant to join our team in our newsagency and post office (suited to 15 years and above).
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion to learn and work in retail.
Successful applicants must be flexible with hours and willing to work up to a maximum of 38 hours per week when required.
Hours will include a Monday to Saturday roster, and applicants must be reliable.
Rostered hours will be between 8am to 6pm.
Typical responsibilities of the job include: Sales, service, and the promotion of products and servicesProcess cash, credit, and return transactions on salesMaintain shop displays and daily housekeeping requirementsComplete Magazine and Paper ReturnsIdeal candidate will have: No experience is required (training to be provided)Willingness to work in a team environmentReliableFlexible with working hours and able to cover shifts at short notice (e.g., sick days/annual leave)Must pass a Police Check, this is mandatory for the roleMust complete Golden Casket training and pass to be eligible for the rolePlease provide a cover letter addressing why you think you are the right person for this role and include any previous experience you have had in the retail industry (if any).
