About the roleReporting to the Program Manager, the Junior Project Manager is responsible for actively supporting National Mirror Committees' involvement in international standardization work, including their participation in international balloting, their attendance at international Technical Committee meetings, Identical Adoptions (IDT) involving the administration of projects to adopt international standards in accordance with Standards Australia's policies and procedures, as well as providing ad hoc administrative assistance with tasks to Project Managers and International TC Committee Managers. This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
What you'll doCoordinate Australian participation at ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), including facilitating and managing National Mirror Committees' participation in international standards development work, international meetings and international balloting.Provide International Technical Committee and International TC Committee Manager support work as required, coordinating activities which relate to Standards Development International Adoption projects.Monitor and progress IDT project deliverables ensuring targets, timelines, controls and quality parameters are met in accordance with Standards Australia's project management methodology.Maintain plans and information for projects using the organisation's enterprise project management system, including scope, size and timelines.Work with other Standards Australia employees to support organisational business objectives.Provide administrative assistance as required to Project Managers and other members of the Standards Development team.About you• Experience utilising project management methodologies will be highly regarded along with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an administration role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate and explain information to customers, peers and manager.
• Schedule, monitor and manage work to maximise the use of time and effort, have a proactive attitude.
• Be enthusiastic and flexible and have the willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks.
• Apply logical and objective thought to problem solving and decision making while having a high-level of attention to detail.
• IT literate (including Microsoft applications).
