Junior Project Manager

Design & Construct Firm based in Western Suburbs looking to add a new member to our construction team to help us build highly customised homes. Our new member of the team will have a strong knowledge of construction practices and materials, exceptional attention to detail, strong work ethic and commitment to the highest standards. Applicants must be confident in the delivery of complicated bespoke homes.

We are based in Peppermint Grove and are offering a full-time role.
The ideal candidate is a genuine team player with a can-do attitude. You'll be organized, able to anticipate needs, be an excellent problem solver and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities and duties will include: Assist in the management of contractual documentation including supplier documentation and the drafting of subcontract agreements and scopes of workAssist in undertaking financial and administrative project activities including tendering, cost control, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, subcontract claim review and negotiation as required.Award and administer contracts and purchase orders for procurement of materials, equipment and subcontracts ensuring execution in accordance with company policyAssist in the preparation of documentation and administration of progress claims including maintaining records for delays, extensions of time and variations in line with contractual requirementsMaintenance and updating of variation and drawing registers as required Desired attributes, experience and skills: Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or similarExperience in a similar role within the Construction Industry A positive and driven personality with the ability to work closely within a teamExcellent communication (written & oral) & relationship building skillsSuperb time management and organising skillsOutstanding attention to detailAbility to interact and foster relationships with clients, team members and contractors
